PASTOR DAN PETERS – LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Dan’s journey began in a small Pennsylvania town, where an unexpected invitation at the age of fifteen changed everything. A friend invited him to attend a movie at the local theater — but instead of previews, popcorn, and a story-line, Dan encountered the life‑changing message of Jesus Christ through the preaching of Billy Graham. That night, God reshaped the direction of his life and directed him into ministry.

After high school, college, and seminary, Dan answered God’s call to serve his first congregation in Pennsylvania. During his college years he met Janet, the “best human being he’s ever known,” and they married in 1976. Together, over the decades, they have poured their hearts and lives into families, neighbors, and friends in four Churches, including twenty‑nine years of faithful ministry in the state of Connecticut.

The Lord has blessed Pastor Dan and Janet with four children, eleven grandchildren, and a lifetime of joy in serving people. Their story is one of grace, a clear calling from Heaven, and steadfast devotion to the LORD Jesus Christ.

Judy Hobbs – Office Administrator

Judy graduated from Asheboro High School in 2002 and later earned a Theological Biblical Ministry degree. She is a proud mother of two wonderful boys; David age eight and Joshua age 12, and share this joy with her husband of 14 years. With her husband, she has been apart of a new church start, evangelistic outreaches, and missions in Bolivia, South America. She and her family are members of Buelah Baptist church in Bennett.

Monthly Meeting and Hopewell Teams

The second Sunday of each month following the morning service, we have a Monthly Meeting where everyone’s voice can be heard. At this meeting, decisions are made for the church.

We have teams that are responsible for things from ministries to building maintenance. Below you will meet the 3 teams you are most likely to interact with. Below them, you will find our other teams. There is also a brief description of the responsibilities for all teams.
